Abstract Forms of Expression Come to Light in This All-New Exhibit

The Nave Museum is pleased to present an exhibit by native Victoria artist Kayla Koenig, who uses abstract forms of expression to create fine art for the abstracted mind. The result: Fine art creations that evoke your imagination and envelop you into a dreamy world of your own. In her words - "This body of work is a modest expression of other forms of art: the personification of the overall aesthetic coupled with a vernal freshness that flourished following the change in seasons.

With the arrival of Spring, our waking hours are filled with sunlight; there is a positive association between more sunshine and happier, more hopeful feelings. This shift made allowances for an imaginative awakening expressed in a simple and clean design. Making that connection allowed me to expand my mind, permitting room for interpretation which resulted in an inordinate relationship between mind and body in a manifestation of unrestrained tranquility."

This exhibit opens to the public on May 24 and runs through July 14. The Nave is open Tuesday through Friday from 12 pm - 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm to 4 pm, and is closed on Mondays. Admission is always free, but donations are gladly accepted to help us continue to bring fine art to the Crossroads area. Visit our website at www.navemuseum.com to find out more.

The Nave Museum offers memberships, where members get to come to exclusive member-only opening nights and can meet with the artists, guest curators, and hear the artist give a brief talk on their work. Call us at 575-8228 to find out more, or check out our Membership page on our website.
