This Archeology Day Camp Will Excite Your Child – Check It Out Later This Month
This summer, the Museum of the Coastal Bend will host the Archaeology 101 Camp. Children in the 4th through 7th grade are invited to attend this wonderful program for a look into this interesting field of study! The camp will kick off on July 23rd and extend through July 26th.
At Archeology 101 Camp, campers will learn the basics of archaeology. Each day, campers will explore the field of archaeology through activities and lessons including learning which tools archaeologists use, determining how archaeologists interpret artifacts, and exploring the field of experimental archaeology.
Located in Victoria, the Museum of the Coastal Bend showcases the rich multi-cultural heritage of the mid-coastal region of Texas. The Museum’s mission is to enhance the appreciation and enjoyment of the region's heritage. The Museum's purpose is to collect, preserve, exhibit, interpret, and educate using the history and heritage of the region.
The museum complements existing local and regional museums and educational facilities, and through permanent and temporary exhibits, provides a comprehensive overview of the rich Coastal Bend heritage and places it into a regional perspective.
